My dear, at certain stage
there will be a change of tense.
In fact it has already changed
without our noticing it
and whatever happens
has already happened
long ago
and will never happen again.
There is no past
that will return
and no future
that we rush towards,
that pulls us into its vortex -
only this moment
not bound to anything.
Do you know what it's called?
Yesterday they said on TV
that it's Alzheimer's Disease.
I hear the cry of the cranes.
At this time of year they fly to the south.
That much I remember.
I hear the cries of the children in the meadow
from the open window.
Children grow up quickly.
That too I remember.
